ABOUT US

The Full Story

Ron and Heidi have lived in Newberg for 30 years.  30 years ago, there wasn’t a winery next door, in fact, they didn’t know of any wineries in the area!  Oh, how times have changed.  Ron and Heidi raised two daughters and now are the proud grandparents of two grandsons…and they picked up a really sweet son in law along the way:).  Ron and Heidi love all things creative.  Their first love is music.  All members of their family play instruments and sing.  Amani Acres has been a place of music and gathering since her inception.  Their oldest daughter was on season 15 of The Voice and their younger daughter and husband served as music pastors at a local church for several years.  This hill has been home to musicians from all over the valley - it has truly served as a gathering spot for friends and family to share their love of music.

Ron and Heidi named their special place “Amani Acres” after spending time in Africa.  Amani means PEACE in Swahili, and that’s exactly what they hope you experience here.  The Thomason’s love hosting and creating beautiful spaces for people to experience deep peace and rest.  The care they take to make sure every single detail is just right is always with their guests in mind.  If you ask them, they will tell you that not one day goes by that they are not deeply thankful for the views and beauty this slice of heaven provides.

Ron and Heidi spend their free time creating jewelry, furniture, home decor, and of course music.  They truly feel that they have been given an incredible gift in their property that sits in the heart of wine country.  Their deepest desire is that you feel the love and care they put into this acreage when you stay here.  We hope to see you soon!
